A quick plug for the Phoenix Holiday Author Event this weekend, December 6th, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at The Pressroom in downtown Phoenix (441 W. Madison Street). I’ll be among nearly 70 local authors from a wide variety of genres—fiction, children’s, spiritual, business, personal development, and more—signing books and talking books.
It’s a great opportunity to meet local authors, get your holiday shopping done for others, or to indulge your own book-buying habit. Plus, organizer Laura Orsini has put together a whole bunch of other incentives:
- The first 200 who register (it’s FREE) will receive goody bags with swag from the participating authors.
- The VIP Ticket ($35) includes a goody bag, a book autographed by one of the Holiday Author Event authors, and a private dinner in January with some of the authors.
- Giveaways every half-hour
- Gift-wrapping available on site
- Food truck on site
- Live music
If you’re in the Phoenix area, please plan to drop by and say hi—and please share the info with any of your favorite bibliophile buddies! I’ll have copies of The Science, Art and Voodoo of Freelance Writing and Getting Paid, Help! My Freelancers Are Driving Me Crazy, and a preview version of my soon-to-be-released ebook.

Wish I could be there, Jake, and sorry to be a stranger for so long here at your blog. Hope the Author Event is a great success, and that you get mobbed throughout by frenzied Dr. Freelance fans!
Cheers from gloomy ol’ New Hampshuh!

Thanks for dropping by, Mark–and I much appreciate the well wishes. Hope business is going well.
I miss lots of things about living in New England, but gloom ain’t one of ’em!
