Been too long since I did a video—and I felt like dressing up in my scrubs—so here are some quick followup thoughts to last week’s post on “How much time will it take to write copy?”. Let’s talk about freelance writing speed.

Love the scrubs – looks a little like a chef’s hat (an evil chef, what with the black). 🙂
Great point on the per-hour rate in relation to speed. I don’t think understanding that is necessarily “chasing money” – I think it’s smart business.

Thanks for the comment, Lori. I think there’s a tendency to look at pieces of the business in isolation—heck, I’m guilty of it, too—but it’s all interrelated. And with regard to the hat, I need to find something with a little less altitude, for exactly the reason you cite, although I could go as an evil chef for Halloween. The medical supply store didn’t have many options, alas.
